Product Description

The System 40 gives you fresh, filtered drinking water straight from a dedicated tap, without constantly replacing jug filters or buying bottled water.

One filter lasts up to 3 years or 40,000 litres, while premium silver-impregnated carbon filtration reduces chlorine, unwanted tastes and odours, lead and a range of other contaminants found in mains water.

Designed and built in the UK, the System 40 uses simple push-fit connections and comes with everything required for DIY installation, including a dedicated drinking-water tap.

Choose the standard System 40 for most UK homes, or select the Fluoride Reduction Media option if you also want to reduce fluoride.

The System 40 filters your drinking water while retaining naturally occurring minerals

When the three years are up, a replacement BT1 filter is £195 for another 40,000 litres. Against bottled water for a family of four, that saves over £9,500 across three years.

Follow these six simple steps to connect your System 40 directly to your existing kitchen cold water tap.

Turning off the cold water supply and opening the tap to release pressure 1

Turn off the cold water

Turn off the cold water at the mains outlet valve under the sink. Open the cold water tap to release any remaining pressure in the pipework.

Disconnecting the existing cold water tap hose 2

Disconnect the existing tap hose

Unscrew the existing flexible hose connected to the cold water supply beneath your sink.

Connecting the new System 40 inlet hose to the cold water mains 3

Connect the new inlet hose

Screw the new System 40 inlet hose securely onto the cold water mains outlet.

Connecting the cold water inlet hose to the bottom of the System 40 filter 4

Connect the inlet hose to the filter

Push the hose from the cold water supply firmly into the inlet connection at the bottom of the System 40.

Connecting the kitchen tap hose to the top of the System 40 filter 5

Connect the tap hose to the filter

Push the hose from your kitchen tap firmly into the outlet connection at the top of the System 40.

Turning the cold water back on and flushing the System 40 water filter 6

Turn the water on and flush

Turn the cold water supply back on, check the connections for leaks, then open the tap and flush the filter for 15 minutes before use.

Always turn off the cold water supply before installation. Check all connections for leaks when turning the water back on. If you are unsure at any stage, we recommend using a qualified plumber.
