FAQs
Which water filter is actually right for my home?
It really depends on what you’re hoping to achieve. If you just want crisp, great-tasting water for your tea and coffee, an under-sink kit like the System 40 is a brilliant shout because it tucks away neatly out of sight. However, if you want to protect every tap in the house from chlorine and sediment, you’d be better off looking at a whole-house system. If you’re stuck, just give us a bell and we can help you work out which one fits your setup best.
Do I need to hire a plumber to fit these?
Not necessarily. A lot of our most popular filters, such as the BT1 and System 40, are designed for a straightforward DIY fit. If you’re reasonably handy with a few basic tools, you should have it up and running in no time. That said, if you’re installing one of the more complex whole-house systems or you just don't fancy the DIY, any local plumber will be able to get it sorted for you very quickly.
How often will I need to swap the cartridges out?
Every system has its own schedule. Some of our smaller filters need a quick change every 6 months, while our more heavy-duty ones can last up to 3 years before they need replacing. You’ll usually notice the water flow slowing down slightly or that old chlorine taste creeping back in when it’s time for a fresh one. We also offer a handy reminder service, so you don’t have to worry about keeping track of the dates yourself.
