The Sterasyl ceramic is fitted with an activated carbon block insert to produce the Supercarb filter element. Among other things, activated carbon is very effective at removing chlorine and organics from water. Supercarb is designed to be used in pressure filters (on a mains water supply), not in gravity filters. Benefits: Supercarb has all the benefits of Sterasyl (removal of particles, pathogenic bacteria, cysts etc.) with additional chlorine and organics removal capabilities. UV filter - Problem sorted

Had a problem with my UV sterilisation system with the transformer sounding an alarm which usually means the lamp has failed. I phoned EMW for advice, discussed the options and concluded there was a problem with the transformer. I ordered a replacement on next day delivery, swapped the transformer and problem sorted with the system now back up and running.
